What we haul

Three trailer types. One dispatch standard.

Every load gets the same handling, whether it's palletized freight, temperature-controlled product, or bulk liquid.

01

Dry Van

General freight, palletized or floor-loaded, moved on our standard 53' dry van fleet.

For: shippers moving non-temperature-sensitive freight who need standard trailer capacity on a set schedule.

02

Reefer

Temperature-controlled trailers for freight that can't tolerate a gap in the cold chain.

For: perishable, pharmaceutical, or any product where a broken cold chain is a lost load.

03

Tanker

Bulk liquid transport with dedicated tanker equipment and trained drivers.

For: bulk liquid shippers who need equipment built for the product, not a converted dry van.

Capacity

FTL, LTL, and Expedite — sized to the load, not the other way around.

A full truckload gets a dedicated trailer and a direct run. A partial load gets paired efficiently, not delayed waiting for a full trailer. A time-critical load gets expedited handling from pickup.

  • Full Truckload (FTL) — dedicated equipment, direct routing
  • Less Than Truckload (LTL) — consolidated, cost-efficient
  • Expedite — priority dispatch for time-sensitive freight

Mississauga terminal

Cross-dock and warehousing, under the same roof as dispatch.

Freight can transfer trailers or hold short-term storage at our Mississauga terminal without handing off to a third party — one point of contact from drop to delivery.

Questions

Before you call dispatch

What trailer types does JWD run?

Dry van, reefer (temperature-controlled), and tanker (bulk liquid) — dispatched from the same team regardless of equipment type, so you're not routed to a different contact per trailer.

What lanes do you cover?

Our core lanes run from our Mississauga, ON terminal into Virginia, Georgia, Illinois, Texas, Idaho, and California, plus Montreal, QC as a second terminal on the Quebec side of the network. Ask dispatch about lanes outside this list — capacity depends on the week.

How do I get a rate quote?

Use the quote form with your origin, destination, and trailer type, or call dispatch directly. Most rate requests get a response the same business day.

Is JWD CTPAT certified?

Yes — CTPAT certified, with ACE and ACI compliance for cross-border manifests. See the Services page for the full compliance rundown.

Do you offer cross-dock or short-term storage?

Yes, at our Mississauga terminal — freight can transfer trailers or hold short-term without handing off to a third party.

How do I apply to drive for JWD?

Fill out the driver application — company drivers and owner-operators are both welcome. Applications go straight to our safety team.
